Is it REALLY Him we live for everyday?

What to say, Lord,
It's You who gave me life
And I can't explain just how
Much you mean to me know,
That you have saved me, Lord
I give all I am to You
That everyday I could,
Be a light that shines Your name,

Everyday, It's You I live for,
Everyday, I'll follow after You,
Everyday I'll walk with You, my Lord.

Everyday, Lord,
I'll learn to stand upon Your word,
And I pray that I,
I might come to know You more,
That You would guide me
In every single step I take,
that everyday I can,
Be Your light unto the world.

It's You I live for everyday,
It's You I live for everyday,
It's You I live for everyday,
It's You I live for everyday.

Look at the lyrics. Is it REALLY Him we live for everyday. (In case you haven't figure it out, I love Christian music :D)

Are you a hypocrite-Christian?

I was flipping through the channels the other day and heard a talk show host saying 'I love it when a 'Christian' smokes a little meth on the side'. Wow. Think about it, people constantly are watching you.
Are you living like a Christian? Or are you living a double life-your life at church, and your life the other days of the week? Your 'other' life may not be smoking meth, but you may be just doing your own thing instead of listening to God.
Let God take the wheel this week.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."
-Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

He knows what He's doing. Just trust Him for once. Try it today.

Hebrews 11 thoughts....

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

Hebrews 11:1-3

Wow, Faith is beind sure of what we hope for and certain of what we don't see. Are we certain with our faith in God? We don't see Him, so are we sure of what we hope for (Him)?
The universe was FORMED by God's command out of nothing!

FOUND THE NEW LOOPHOLE!!!!!!!

Okay, so thanks to whiteboyz59 on YouTube, I figured out that if you
Go to Control Panel (Then classic view if using Vista)
Click on 'Folder Options'
Then click on the 'View' tab.
Uncheck "Hide extentions for known file types"
Check "Show hidden files and folders"
Then....to make the ringtone.. (It doesn't matter if you bought the song from Apple or not)
1. Right click on the song you want in iTunes,
2. Click 'Get Info'
3. Click on the 'Options' tab
4. Select your start and stop time (Type in what part of the song you want your ringtone to be)
5. Click 'OK'
6. Then, right click on the song you are using and click 'Create AAC Version'
7. When that finishes, repeat steps 1-3 on the orginal song and uncheck the start and stop times.
8. Make a folder in 'My Documents' called "Iphone Ringtones"
9. Click on the shorter song (the one you made AAC) and drag it to your folder you just made.
10. Right click on the file and click 'Rename'
11. Change the '.m4a' to '.m4r' therefore making it a ringtone. (It will say 'Changing the file may cause the file to become unusable. Do you want to continue?' You click 'yes)
12. Go back to iTunes and delete the song you just moved. Click 'Move to Recycle Bin' because you don't need it anymore.
13. Click on your 'Ringtones' tab in iTunes. (If you don't see 'Ringtones' click on 'Edit' then on 'Preferences' then check the 'Ringtones' box
14. Drag the newly made ringtone from your 'iPhone ringtone' folder into iTunes.
15. Plug in your iPhone and in the ringtones tab under your iphone click 'Sync all ringtones'
Your ringtone is now on your phone!

Ephesians 5:17-19

Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead be filled with the Spirit. Speak to each other with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord.

-Ephesians 5:17-19

Hmmm...We live IN the world, but we are not to be OF the world. Be an example.

OH, HAPPY DAY!

Oh Happy DAY! This picture is what I think about when I hear this song. My sins are washed away and Jesus is ALIVE! I encourage you to be HAPPY today! Jesus has beaten death and through Him we are alive forever!

Happy Day
The greatest day in history, Death is beaten
You have rescued me
Sing it out Jesus is alive
The empty cross, The empty grave
Life eternal You have won the day
Shout it out Jesus is alive
He's alive

Oh happy day, happy day
You washed my sin away
Oh happy day, happy day
I'll never be the same
Forever I am changed

When I stand, in that place
Free at last, meeting face to face
I am Yours Jesus You are mine
Endless joy, perfect peace
Earthly pain finally will cease
Celebrate Jesus is alive
He's alive

Oh what a glorious day
What a glorious way
That You have saved me
Oh what a glorious day
What a glorious name

He LOVES us!

He is jealous for me, Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realize just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.

And we are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If his grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.
And heaven meets earth like an unforeseen kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way…

He is jealous for ME! We bend beneath the weight of His wind and mercy like a tree in a hurricane. I was reminded today, how GREAT His affections are for me. He loves ME (Kathleen Johnson) and He loves you. We are all sinners. He could have just said 'Nope, I know she is going to sin, I'm not even going to make her'. But He LOVES US. We are His portion and He is our prize. His grace gave us redemption.

This song wasn't my favorite when I first heard it, but then I was quiet when I was listening to it being sung at church on a Sunday morning. And God really spoke to me 'I love you. And I am bigger than you, but I still love you. You are my portion (property) and I am Your prize. I love you more than you could ever know." Wow...He loves ME. Really, The creator of everyone in this earth knows every hair on my head and every thought I think. Wow... That is my Abba Father.

Think about it..

God's Word is.....

Your Word, Oh Lord, is eternal; It stands firm in the Heavens. -Psalm 119:89

The grasss withers and the flowers fall , but the Word of the Lord stands forever. -Isaiah 40:8

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. -2 Timothy 3:16-17

Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For the prophecy never had it's origin in the will of man, but men spoke FROM God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. -2 Peter 1:20-21

See a patern??? God's Word is eternal, it stands forever and it has been breathed by Him, not just random people who decided to write something down.
Anything but God is useless. It all will wither and fall away. GOD IS THE ONLY THING THAT STANDS FOREVER!

Romans 10:9-13

That if you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart you believe and are justified and with your mouth you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame." For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile- the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on Him, for 'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'

By His Wounds.....

I have to memorize Isaiah 53:1-6 for school this week, and I am having difficulties memorizing it.

So, I stopped to think about it....

Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hid their faces, he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we consider him stricken by God, smitten by Him, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquities of us all.

-Isaiah 53:1-6

When God was here, he wasn't this supernatural thing dressed in white, floating around. He was walking around like a normal man. Not very many people knew that He was the 'Messiah'. He was despised and people didn't look twice at Him. Yet, He took up our sins and carried our sorrows, and died on the cross for OUR sins. He didn't do a thing. He was perfect! Think about that. He is the Son of God, yet people spit in His face and hung Him on a cross. I learned in my Bible curriculum last week that while Jesus was on the cross, He was in hell, conquering it. That's why He said 'God, Why have you forsaken Me'. Wow...He must really love us..

There is also a song about verse 5...
'He was pierced for our transgression, crushed for our sins. The punishment that brought us peace, was upon Him.
By His wounds, By His wounds we are healed.
We are healed by Your sacrifice, and the life that you gave.
We are healed for You paid the price, and by Your grace we are saved, we are saved.
What can wash away my sin, nothing but the blood of Jesus.

-'By His Wounds' sung by Brian Littrell, Mac Powell, Mark Hall and Steven Curtis Chapman

Well....

I've realized that if you follow my sister's blog you know basically everything that's going on in my life, too!
We have 109 school days left (YAY!), We are going to Dallas today for dinner with my mom's cousin and of course, Sam Moon :)

Anywho, Something that has been on my heart, is reading my Bible. As you've read in my blog, I've read through the Bible twice, this is my third time. But, I was reading 10 chapters a day. Even though I was taking notes, I wasn't really studying it. So, this time I've cut back to under 5 chapters a day.
The funny thing is, It drives me crazy when people say 'I don't have time to read my Bible' . My thought to that is, 'Really? Why are you on this earth? To serve Jesus? So shouldn't you learn about Him?'
Well....I've become 'busy' and it upsets me. I make time for other things, but not God. How sad is that? I am going to do better this month. Will you too?

'I'm Free To Be Me...and You're Free To Be You'

At twenty years of age
I'm still looking for a dream
A war is already waged for my destiny
But You've already won the battle
And You've got great plans for me
Though I can't always see, 'cause...

I got a couple dents in my fender
Got a couple rips in my jeans
Try to fit the pieces together
But perfection is my enemy
And on my own I'm so clumsy
But on Your shoulders I can see
I'm free to be me

When I was just a girl
I thought I had it figured out
See my life will turn out right
And I'll make it here somehow
But things don't always come that easy
And sometimes I would doubt, 'cause...

And you're free to be you

Sometimes I believe
That I can do anything
Yet other times I think
I've got nothing good to bring

But You look at my heart and you tell me
That I've got all You seek
And it's easy to believe, even though...

And you're free to be you

-Free To Be Me-Francesca Battistelli (Yes, another one)

So, look at these lyrics. We all have a couple dents in our fenders and rips in our jeans...and lets face it, perfection is our enemy. On our own we are clumsy (even though we like to think otherwise), but on His sholders we can see we are free to be ourselves.

God didn't make us robots, we are free to be ourselves. It is because of this freedom that we have dents in our fenders. But if we didn't, we'd be robots, and God didn't want that! He wanted us to be FREE.

My thoughts on being truly thankful

So, I've been thinking. Are we REALLY thankful in our everyday lives? I know I'm not always.
Think about that homeless guy you pass on your way to work. Yeah, maybe he could get a job at McDonalds, and chooses not to, but the fact is, he IS less fortunate than we are. We (including me) pass him many times locking the doors. What if we at least prayed for him? God still loves him.

It disturbs me when people say 'FML' or 'My life sucks'. Really? Really? There ARE kids in Africa that are dying of hunger! I KNOW you have had at least one meal today. Yeah, I don't know the answers to every aspect of life, but I do know that we are all made in God's image. When we say that our life sucks, or that we hate the way we look, we are dissing God. Think about it before you say it the next time.

I made a ringtone a couple months ago of the song 'Thank You' by 33 Miles, and I use it as my alarm. It gets you thinking as you wake up. The ringtone goes like this:

'What if in the morning when I wake up,
Even before I fill my coffee cup, I said 'Thank You, Thank You'
What if I looked at the day and the hours ahead and before I moved forward
I bowed my head and said 'Thank You', oh I said,'Thank You'
What if I looked at my life in a different way,
Took a little more time to stop and pray,
I know it would change all the moments in between'

Are you REALLY thankful this thanksgiving? I know I am not nearly as thankful as I should be.
Practice being thankful in your everyday life.

It's your life, what you gonna do...

This is the moment
It’s on the line
Which way you gonna fall?
In the middle between
Wrong and right
But you know after all

It’s your life
What you gonna do?
The world is watching you
Every day the choices you make
Say what you are and who
Your heart beats for
It’s an open door
It’s your life

Are you who you always said you would be?
With a sinking feeling in your chest
Always waiting for someone else to fix you
Tell me when did you forget

To live the way that you believe
This is your opportunity
To let your life be one that lights the way

-It's Your Life by Francesca Battistelli

Yes, I know, I blog about her songs a lot..but, think about the words. This song was perfect for the series finale of 'Jon and Kate Plus 8', because seriously. It's YOUR life. What ARE you going to do with it?

Facing YOUR Giants

If you didn't know, 1st Samuel 16 and 17 is about Samuel (Of course :D),Saul, David, and Goliath.

The Lord told Samuel that he needed to go find Jesse and tell him that his son, David, would become king. He did as he was told, but Jesse only showed him his biggest, strongest sons. Samuel knew David wasnt one of them. He asked for David. Samuel annointed David with oil, and the Spirit of the Lord came upon him. Then, David went to Saul, and Saul loved him. When Saul was troubled by the Spirit of the Lord, David would play his harp and make Saul feel better.

Then, in the 17th chapter, Jesse, David's father, sent David out to feed his brothers who were fighting against the Phillipines. David found Saul and told him he would fight against the Phillistines, and defeat Goliath(Goliath is described, a man that was over 9 feet tall, while we are told that David is a small shepherd boy) ! You can imagine everyone's reaction there! A small boy wanting to fight a giant! David chose to go without armor, because it felt too heavy on him. He took 5 stones from a river and had a slingshot. No spear, No armor, NOTHING! He found Goliath and quickly put a stone in the sling, and hit him right between the eyes! The giant fell and was dead!

Can you imagine?! A small boy being told that he would become KING! Then, going out to battle with a giant. When I hear this story, it reminds me of the movie 'Facing the Giants' We all have giants of some sort that are bigger than us and we are told we can't fight. I know for a fact that God was with David and that sling. God can help us with our giants. We just have to let him. He will never leave us or forsake us. Seriously, think about this for a minute. He IS omnipresent. You don't have to wait your turn until someone else is done to talk to Him! He is everywhere and he knows all things. He is always there for you when you think that there is no way that you can stand up to your giants.

Think about it this week. How God can help you face your giants.

Some thoughts for the day

In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes. -Judges 21:25 (NAS)

We have been studying Judges on Wednesday nights, and this study has really taught me a lot. many people confess (including me) that they have, at one time or another, written the Old Testament off as something that is not applicable to our everyday life. Well, SURPRISE! It is applicable to our lives! Look at Samson in Judges, he was a Nazarite, and was set apart for God, yet he chose to reveal the secret of his strengh, something that God told him never to do.

We all sin, and if you have read any part of the Old Testament, you may think that their sins are huge compared to our own. Another surprise, our sins are just as big if not bigger.

Matthew 5:21-22 "You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.' But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca,' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.

God sees calling someone a fool, or even kiddingly a 'retard' the same as murder. You see, God made us in His image, so when we say that we are a retard or something of that sort, we are dissing God's creation. I have really had this on my heart that I need to work on it.

Hopefully this little blog changes some of your views on the Old Testament.

The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived

Here is a man who was born in a lowly manger, the child of a peasant woman. He grew up in an obscure village. He worked in a carpenter shop until he was thirty, and then for three years he was an itinerant preacher.
He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never went to college. He never owned a house. He never traveled two hundred miles from the place where he was born.
He never did one of these things that usually acompany greatness.
He had no credentials but himself.
He had nothing to do with this world except the power of his divine manhood.
While still a young man, the tide of popular opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. One of them denied him.
He was turned over to his enemies. He went through the mockery of a trial. he was nailed upon a cross between two thieves. His executioners gambled for the only piece of property he had on earth while he was dying-His coat.
When he was dead, he was taken down and laid in a borrowed tomb through the pity of a friend.
Nineteen wide centuries have come and gone. Today he is the center-piece of the human race and the leader of the column of progress.
I am within the mark when i say that all the armies that ever marched, and all the navies that were ver built and all the parliaments that ever sat, and all the kings that ever reigned, put together have not affected the life of man upon this earth as powerfully as has THAT ONE SOLITARY LIFE.
-Phillip Brooks

More Sermon notes. (I LOVE this series on "doing faith")

Doing Faith-Defining Faith
"James 2:14-25"
Dr Steve Washburn
-James is giving us special attention to the definition of faith.
-"What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith, but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?" No!
-"In the same way, faith by itself if it is not accompanied by action is dead."
-Real faith is faith that SAVES.
"John 1:1"
-The Word was God
"John 20:28"
-Jesus is God
-You believe there is one God? The demons even believe that! And they know it, too! But demons are not saved.
"Matthew 7:21"
-Only he who does the Father's will will be allowed into heaven
-I am saved ONLY by a serious faith that commits my life to Jesus.
-God doesn't accept applications. Only commitments.
-The only faith that saves is REAL faith
"Mark 8:32"
-The faith that saves is the faith that abandons everything and turns it all over to Him!
-The only faith that saves is real faith that is under the management of Jesus.
-Faith that lives is faith that doesn't just believe things, it DOES things.
-"What we DO in this life echoes in eternity!"
-Faith without deeds is dead and useless. But, faith that is full of deeds is faith that is alive!
-Faith IS more of an action than a conviction.
-Am I doing faith? Is my faith useful to my Savior!
-Is my faith lifeless or full of life?
-Real faith:
• is faith that GROWS!
• grows and changes me.
• lifts me
• allows me to be stronger than I was before
-Abraham's faith was always growing. It was always lifting him. His faith was made complete by what he DID! Abraham was called God's friend. My faith is Christ can SAVE me!
-When I make a choice to put my REAL faith in Christ, it grows me, changes me and lifts me!
-You CAN have that kind of faith! It doesn't matter what has happened in your life.
-Perspectives are different, Jesus sees the big picture, we can't.
-Now that we know what faith means, let's do it!

"When the rain is falling there's silver lining and you just can't seem to find the light..."

"When you need a reason to help you keep believing, let my love be your blue sky" (My favorite uplifting song right now.. "Blue Sky" by Francesca Battistelli)
It is true, Im quite overwhelmed...we've had company,

I made my dad a Caramel Toasted Marshmallow latte.. It relieves some of my
stress, oddly enough... (it's kind like baking for some people) I also made a Caramel Macchiato for myself
in hopes that the espresso will help me today!

More sermon notes...

Okay, I know... I need to get a notebook and stop taking notes with my iPhone.. Many people probably think I'm texting.. But Im taking notes nonetheless :)

James 1:5-8 Doing Faith- Praying Boldly
Dr Steve Washburn

Do you pray boldly?

-Doing faith involves ramping up our confidence in prayer.
-If anyone lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without looking at our faults!
-He who doubts is like a wave tossed in the ocean by the wind. The doubting man should not receive anything from the Lord, he is a double-minded man.. Unstable in all he does. You need to trust God!
-We have a habit of doubting God. We need to change our thinking. We should expect a response from God when we ask him a question. You need to start looking for God's answer. James is contrasting between belief and doubt.
-James is specifically talking about asking God for wisdom, but you can ask God for anything
-The need for divine wisdom is tremendous.
-We need to make God our first choice. Bring your issues to God first! If you are walking with him... Just ask! You need to pray for His will, not your own. We need to give Him credit for His answers! If your not expecting an answer, you're going to miss it!
-James 4:2 "You do not have, because you do not ask!"
-Help God answer your prayers. Stop asking God to hit a moving target. Sometimes we trust God, sometimes we doubt Him. Just pick a side! God is worthy of your trust.. Are you going to trust Him? You are going to keep doubting God until you consciously choose to trust God!
-Your trust has to come before God's blessing!
-God hears His children's prayers and answers them!

Thought for the day

Okay, so I'm not a normal teenager. I don't enjoy sneaking out, yelling at my parents or flunking classes. Nope it's not because I'm homeschooled, it's because I have faith in God.
What do you really need? JESUS!
You can tell if you are a genuine disciple if you bear much fruit.
John was executed because he bore fruit.
Think about this! What Jesus to people see when they look at you? A deformed Jesus or a glorious Jesus?
The FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT are fruits of the vine(Jesus)
If you are a branch of the vine, you have the fruits of the spirit. Bearing fruit is also obeying the Lord. Being fruitful means if Jesus says it, do it!!
Jesus says 'my branches are easily recognizable because they bear fruit'
Genuine disciples live in the Word of God! The Lord reveals something fresh and new everytime you read a verse in his Word.
Scripture rebukes us so that we can be thoroughly equipped for very good work.

Well, I've been quite busy lately... We got home, were home for a few days and my grandparents came to look for houses. After looking at quite a few, they found one for rent. They'll move down here the 27th, I think. Then, they went home and my other grandparents and aunt came! They are still here and we are having a blast! Chillin by the pool, Walking the RiverWalk, and trying to stay cool!
Summer is going by much too quickly. My birthday is on Thursday, and we will start school on Monday :( Sad day.....Oh, well..I'll make it, I'm sure :)
Hmm, what else is new..I finished the Old Testament for the 2nd time!!!!! Now I've read through the entire Bible 1 and 1/2 times!
The reason why I don't blog often is because I use my phone for internet, mainly. There isn't 'An app for that' that's free :) It's just a pain to type a long blog on a phone keypad! If you have an iPhone, you need to check out the 'YouVersion' Bible app (It's what I use) I love it! I also just found Twisty Text Lite, like Text Twist(an MSN game) SOOOOOO addicting!

God Bless,
K

Days of the RV...Part 3?

Mmmkay, a LOT to catch you up on!
We left Beth Bair's house and went to South Dakota.
We saw the Corn Palace, and Wall Drug, and Mt Rushmore...oh, and Bear USA! The bears were soo cute! They walked right in front of the cars! Gracie thought she could take them! But, we gave her a chewstick and all was well!
J and I got really cute zip up hoodies. I don't know when we can wear them in Texas, but... :)
Then, we drove into Wyoming and were astounded at all the beautiful snow-covered mountains and rock formations! Then, we figured, we got this far, why not go to Yellowstone! Sooo...off we went. We spent 2 days in there, and found someone at a gas station nice enough to give us their pass, so we didn't even have to pay for it!
It was SOOOOO pretty! But there was a lot of construction. It was a little difficult in a motorhome, but my Dad is a good driver. We saw Elk, Deer, Moose(s)?, a fox and thennn, a BEAR! So, here's the thing. There were like 20 cars by this side of the road, and this family had their children out of the car! A park ranger came and said, "You need to get back in your car!!!" The park dude left, and the dad said "I'm taking the kids up there" So, he ignored the park ranger and started walking up towards all the other crazy people who were standing out of their cars. Then, we see a bear come running up the hill, across the road, and up the hill on the other side! Now, would you take your kids near a wild BEAR?!?!?

Then, we went through the edge of Montana and spent the night in an Idaho Wal-Mart parking lot. The next day,we drove to Utah. Murray, Utah is David Archuleta's home town, so we stopped and ate lunch there..and we found Murray High, where David went to high school, AND where the 3 Highschool Musical's were filmed! I thought it was pretty cool.

Then we drove almost to Denver, and then got a tweet that David Archuleta was IN Utah when we were! AND we was coming to Denver to do a show that night! The tickets were pretty much sold out though :( Soooo, we started towards Colorado Springs the next morning. We went to the Focus on the Family Campus, and saw the 'Whits End ice cream shoppe' you know, from Adventures in Oddesy?!? J and I used to be obesessed with that radio show!

We have some family in CO Springs, so we went out to dinner with them. We found a campground about 10 miles from their house, and here we are!

The picture uploaoder thing didn't work right now..so I'll post a blog of pictures soon!

Doe a deer......

Well...Today I thought of a marvelous idea! To sing (Well, type in a song) my day of travels! Enjoy!!!!

Do a deer, a female deer- When we stopped to fix lunch, we watched a deer get hit. She wasn't able to get up, so the cops clubbed her and threw her in the back of a pickup (For meat we are guessing)..Then in the mountains, we watched a deer climb up a steep embankment!

Ra a drop of golden sun- It was very sunny today! We had our sunglasses on all day!

Mi a name, I call myself- I was trying to take a picture of myself..as you can see it didn't work so well

Fa, a long, long way to run! --We walked a LOT today!
So, a needle pulling thread...ummmm, this one didn't work so well!
La, a note to follow so- Well, 'La' is sort of a random, right? We saw lots of pretty mountains and hills today :)
Ti, a drink with jam and breadddddddd--We had some Arizona tea today :)
And that will bring us back to dooooooooooooo!
See ya

Days of the RV...Part 1

Hey there!!!!! I haven't updated lately...so I thought I'd give you a run-down of whats up!
We left on July 2nd, slept in a Walmart parking lot, stayed at Olivet on the 3rd, so we could be there for the family reunion on the 4th.
Then, we went to Racine then Appletone for the 4th-the 10th, then we went up to Eau Claire for another family reunion and stayed overnight...Then, we found a campground in Menomine, WI...
Then, today we hung out with Beth Blair, ate lunch with her, found a campground and had s'mores with her. She just left, so we are sitting out by the fire waiting for it to go out.. It is SOOOO relaxing!
OHHHHH...We stayed with the Holdts and had a bonfire and sleepover with them. It was SOOO much fun! Check Facebook for videos! I guess we will head for South Dakota tomorrow..Hopefully we will have good wifi soon again! (Since the cell card was disconnected) It is hard to type a whole blog from the iPhone. I'm good, but not quite that good :)
I'll try to keep this updated! Text or call me if you want an update right away! Ha ha..

Summer...How I love thee

Wow, it has been awhile since my last post! Anyways...
We went to the pool today. It is quite hot, which in turn makes the pool water around 80 degrees, i think. So, we only stayed for an hour...but I got quite sunburnt! It is like 110 heat index....very HOT!
We leave next Thursday on the motorhome, so hopefully I can blog more then. I guess my life just hasn't had much excitement lately :p
Have a great summer day, peeps

Sooooooo......

We had this huge thunderstorm last night..There was basball sized hail about 45 minutes away, and a tornado touched down there, too! Scary, Scary!
My grandparents flew in last night, well this morning...Jen and Dad got home with them around 2, I think. I was long asleep. Ha ha...
Annnnnnnnnnd, we got some really good deals at Kohls yesterday. Every year they have the patriotic shirts for 5 dollars. So, we need clothes, and we went. Well, my Mom had a 30% off coupon, so we got each shirt for $3.50! Prettttty cool, huh?
Off to make biscuits and gravy for the grandparents!

FOUND THE NEW LOOPHOLE!!!!!!!

Okay, so thanks to whiteboyz59 on YouTube, I figured out that if you
Go to Control Panel (Then classic view if using Vista)
Click on 'Folder Options'
Then click on the 'View' tab.
Uncheck "Hide extentions for known file types"
Check "Show hidden files and folders"
Then....to make the ringtone.. (It doesn't matter if you bought it from Apple or not)
14. Drag the newly made ringtone from your 'iPhone ringtone' folder into iTunes.
15. Plug in your iPhone and in the ringtones tab click 'Sync all ringtones'
Your ringtone is now on your phone!

Enjoying this thing called Summer

I have been playing Sly3, and am now 49% done! :)
I made an awsome Vanilla Latte today..Thanks to Alton Brown's show on Espresso :)
Many of you have updated to iTunes 8.2, but if you haven't and you have iPhone....DON'T UPDATE! You won't be able to make free ringtones! Apple found the loophole everyone was using to make them for free, and Apple fixed it! Now, I updated without thinking and my free ringtone days are gone :(

the iPhone 3G S, in my opinion is a waste of money to upgrade to! The only differences are the video camera and landscape keyboard for a few more apps, voice dialer (the free app vlingo does the same thing) and spotlight to search the whole phone. Oh, and it's 16 or 32 GB, but really the more stuff you have on a phone/ipod/computer..the more it slows it down :)
So, those of you in the market for an iPhone, I'd save the 100 bucks and go with the now $99 3G! :)
Those are my thoughts for the day..

IPhone blogger :)

I FINALlY found an app that will let ms post from my phone! Maybe I'll be more consistent now :)
Well, I have a Grammar test and a couple weeks of math and I am officially a sophmore!!!! :)
My phone has been acting up lately.. The battery has died showing full charge and it vibrates when set to ring.. Who knows what it's doing. I've probably downloaded a buggy app or something. BTW, did you know the computer term 'bug' refers to actual roaches in one of the first computers!?!? How funny is that!
Have an awsome day!

Friday, May 1, 2009

I think I can see the light!

Well, I am done with Literature, Spelling, Spanish and History (Except for a final in History)!
Spanish is crazy, all the different verb forms change and different online translators translate differently!!! Oh well, It's over! Now...To study for the History final, and get moving on Grammar, Science and Algebra 1!

P.S: I FINISHED THE BIBLE!!!!!!! (In 5 months!)
'What He opens, No one can shut, and What He shuts, No one can open'-Revelation 3:7

"I know your good deeds, that you are neither cold, nor hot. I wish you were either! So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold- I am about to spit you out of My mouth"
-Revelation 3:15-16

I love the Bible!

Wow..It's amazing how fast these four months of the year have gone!!
I am also now in 1st Timothy! 53 books in 112 days! That is crazy, and it's crazy how much closer I have gotten to Him. I've learned how to make my life centered more around Him, not so much around me.
On another exciting note, I have 2 weeks of school left- Well, of Grammar, History and Science- I am done with Lit and Spelling except for Finals! And.....Well, Spanish and Algebra, about 5 weeks left..but hey, I won't be going all summer! :)
I am also a little sick right now, I have had a terrible headache for the last couple days and have actually taken two hour naps yesterday and today! I must really be sick!!!! But, the news said Mold was extremely high...so, that could have something to do with it!
This song is really inspiring to me right now :
"My whole life I place in Your hands, God of mercy humbled, I bow down.
In Your presence at Your throne.
I called, You answered,
And You came to my rescue and I wanna be where You are!"
'Came to my rescue' by Hillsong.
Oh yeah, and I've been REALLY practicing some sheet music I have found on the internet, maybe someday I'll record them and upload them to YouTube or something... :)
For Now,
K

WOW...It's been awhile!

Well....Lets see, to catch you up since I last wrote,
The Halles came for a couple days. It was a lot of fun with them, we went to the BlueBell Factory, took pictures in the BlueBonnets and went out to eat a lot..ha ha..

Then, the Polands came for 9(?) days, That was a lot of fun too! We took them to San Antonio, To see the Alamo and River Walk...And, did a lot of other stuff too..

Then Karen came, and we went to the beach!
We left on Easter after lunch. We stayed on North Padre, and got very sunburt!
The Bahia Mar wasn't all that, but, we pretty much just slept there, so it's all good!
We went to Sonic every day while she was here! She had to leave this morning...
S
o, we had MOPS, with the cutest kids, of course :) But, my Mom had to drop Karen off, so she was late, and then Jenna had to leave to go babysit somewhere else, so I had to take over her class! The rain didn't help in the motivation department, but it was fun!
Then, the MOPS Steering Committe put together an appreciation lunch for the teachers, and a couple of the moms gave us gifts...It was really sweet of all of them!

Now, Tonight, after catching up on some of the Survivor, Biggest Loser, and Terminator on DVR I started some school...uhhh, this is not very fun..But, on the plus side, I finished my Literature book!
WOOOO!
Only...a little over 25 days left!!
Now, I have a headache and am a little overtired,
So, Happy Saturday, bloggers!
-K
(Oh yeah, and we found this boutique in Corpus named 'Kathleen's', It was pretty amazing :D")

Fun Weekend....ha ha

So, yesterday we got up and started washing the windows, I think there are 30 some...INSIDE AND OUT! Plus ALL the wooden blinds!
Thankfully this ordeal only happens twice a year, because it is not too much fun!
We had to take all the padio furniture off the patio so we could wash those windows, so we looked like rednecks...J, Mom and I sat in the yard getting tans while watching Dad do the back of the house's windows :)
Then, today we went to church, Then to Pluckers for lunch. Jen and I did some last minute b-day shopping for my Dad, and we came home to get ready to mow the lawn, and plant flowers!
Oh, but our neighbors got an ADORABLE new puppy a Shi-tzu. His name is Bear, and he looks like a little fluff ball :)
So, that was my excitement for the weekend, now I am working on some school before bed.
Have a good week everybody!

Isaiah

I never realized that Isaiah was so future-related.
I thought it was just like Psalms or something, but as I'm reading it...I am seeing that it is telling us about the future!
It's quite inspiring...
I'm 18 books in to the Bible!! Wooo!
I'm doing school, school and some more school today..
We took a very extended lunch break for Tuesday Lunch at Chipolte yesterday...
We took 2 weeks at Christmas, so we are trying to work through Spring Break so we don't have to go through June.
Gracie went to the vet yesterday, and they told Mom that she has a lot of tartar on her teeth, and they wanted like $300 to clean her teeth! We went to Petsmart and bought a 4 dollar dog toothbrush that you put on your finger and some poultry flavored toothpaste :)
Back to the books!

McAllen

We drove the 6 hours to McAllen yesterday...
We ate with Larry and Florence...Then today, we drove all around town...
We came back to Bibleville and picked some grapefruit, played Dominos with the Hildabrants that we used to go to church with. It was fun, actually..
We came back to the place we are staying (Which, contrary to our imaginations, is quite nice!)
to get ready for a concert that is happening at the church tonight. We will go to their church tomorrow, then out to lunch. We will head home from there!
-K

Sunday, March 8, 2009

Today is Sunday!

Okay, so I have found my new fav at Starbucks! A Americano with Cream and Sugar-Free Vanilla. It is so good! And, a lot more caffeine than a latte, I imagine :D
We went out to lunch with Mr and Mrs Isbell and Ben, he was home from college for Spring Break.
Then, of course, we came home to do some school...Dad then decided to drive to Elgin to look at some property...I took a couple tests with me, and did pretty well on them :)
I'm getting closer to being caught up, although I have a Spanish Test I am dreading!
This weekend we are going to McAllen to see Larry and Florence( From GB)...That is a 6 hour drive, If I remember right.. Mom, J and I are just going, so I have a feeling it will be quite a drive. Maybe we can do some school on the ride.
Our MOPS Steering meeting that we babysit for once a month was moved from Friday to Tuesday, so it works out perfectly! We will leave around 9 on Friday, and hopefully get there sometime in the afternoon...ha ha..
It doesn't look like we will have any beach time this time :( Maybe when Karen comes for her Spring Break.
We will have like non-stop company for a couple weeks which will be fun!
I may try to get a little ahead in school so I'm not like 8 weeks behind.. ha ha..
It looks like 10 weeks left of school, though! I'm EXCITED!!!!!
This song has been in my head lately, I thought I'd share it with you...
"Yesterday is History, and history, is miles away, So leave it all behind you, Let it always remind you of the day...The day that love made History"
-"History" by Matthew West (I think?)

Friday, March 6, 2009

Friday :)

We all had TONS of fun with Beth, of course :) She is a lot of fun...we went to Sonic every day and had coffee by KafeKathleen every day too :D
She left Wednesday, Jenna worked yesterday...and today, we had MOPS!
It was quite hectic with everyone tired and hungry, but they are all pretty cute, so it helps ;)
Those kiddos are growing up waaaay too fast!
I babysat for some people I hadn't seen since before Christmas, and they have both grown about 5 inches it seems like!
I am trying to catch up on some Spanish, and everything else for that matter..
There is tomorrow, too...We made Breakfast tacos for dinner and then Cheese and Caramel Corn for 'dessert'....It was very yummy!!
It is supposed to rain from Sunday-Tuesday! I love rain, but I have stuff to do, so that's no fun! Rain is only fun when you can curl up with some hot tea and a book!
BTW-I AM getting closer to being through the Bible!!!!!
I started January 1st and am on Psalms 120, today!
Have a glorious day in Jesus
-K

I almost forgot!!!

I'm totally caught up with Algebra!!!! YAY!!!!!
Now if only it will stay that way...ha ha..

New Cappuccino Maker!!!!!

Well, I don't know if I told ya'll, but we've been using my cappuccino maker for our church cafe, and the travel was too much for it. Part of the frother came off, and it's still under warranty, so we called Hamilton Beach, and they sent us a new part, but it didn't work right.
So, off we went to Wal-Mart to acquire a brand new one!!!! YAY!
So, Kafe Kathleen is back in business!!!
I've been a little overwhelmed doing Graphics and the Cafe in Youth Group, even though J is a HUGE help, thanks girlfriend :)
And, I was asked to start doing Graphics for Childrens Church again!
I committed to setting up the PPT Presentations and letting someone else run them :) Problem solved.
Tomorrow, J has to babysit all morning, so I will hopefully get caught up and maybe a little ahead with school, since we are having tons of company this spring!
Oh, and I finally got texting on my phone!!! Wooo! I wonder how many I will use in my first month..ha ha..I'm not that popular :D
I'm well on my way to being half-way through the Bible, too!
I'm in Psalms 40 right now..and the middle of the Bible is Psalms 119 something!
Well, Time to go study some science and read my Bible..
-Happy Saturday!

Gloomy Day...

I woke up feeling a little better, but it is gloomy today...
It is hard to get modivated to do anything!!
Jenna and Mom are still fighting this sickness, so I treated us to Dairy Queen Blizzards..ha ha....
That made it a little easier to do school!
Today was laundry day, and tonight is Night of Grace at CBS... I don't know if we will go or not, yet.
I am so excited that Kaitlyn Mae Thibaudeau was born today!!! I can't believe Betsy has a baby, but I am so glad she is here and healthy!
Everyone has off school for Presidents Day, but us ;)
That's okay, though..I still have to catch up, but I did a week of Algebra last night and I am all caught up with Grammar now.
We are having Beef Fajitas tonight for dinner, YUMMY!
-Kathleen

I'm sick!

I woke up this morning not feeling good at all!
I think I have taken a total of 5 Benadryl today!
I did some school, and played some Sly2 :) I missed CBS, though. Oh well, I got some school done then, when I could actually think somewhat.
I hope I feel better by Friday, J and I are babysitting for the MOPS steering committee meeting at church.
I made a Peppermint Mocha with Monin Dark Chocolate Syrup...I don't think I'd buy the chocolate syrup that way again, it's expensive and I couldn't tell much difference between that and Hershey's Ice Cream Topping.
I don't think I blogged about my experience downtown Austin a couple weeks ago..
Well, we went into Texas Coffee Traders to get some coffee syrups. The owner was in there, and he made us coffee drinks and gave me tips for the cafe at church.
Who knew you could make coffee like sun tea!
Last week, I forgot to make cold coffee for Java Chips...So, we were early and I quickly brewed some and put it in the freezer. And, it was just my lucky day, the freezer was on it's warmest setting! It didn't really matter though, because we didn't get chocolate chips! Ha ha..
I got the script for Childrens Church...I will be doing the Graphics and Sound again!
Come see me :D Along with Wednesday Night Youth Group graphics.
Oh well, enough rambling!
Off to bed!

Today, It is 80 degrees :)

Hey there,
Today, it's about 80 degrees, Yes, it is February 3rd!
It is very nice. My Mom and I watched our DVR-ed shows since Jenna had to babysit (She doesn't like House or CSI, My Mom and my favorites!)
I actually haven't been out of the house!
Dad wanted Spiced Americanos (The recipe is on this blog somewhere...) this morning, and I actually read the recipe, for once :D and you are supposed to put 2 tablespoons of the sugary syrup in the cup, not mix it all together...ha ha..It's much better the right way!
So, I had a cup of that this morning, then Jenna wanted a Java Chip Frappe before she went to babysit... Of course, I made a little too much to fit in the cup, so I had to drink some of that, too!
And, by midmorning I was cold, so I made some powdered cappuccino!
Wow! I've had a lot of caffeine today!
But, Sonic does sound pretty delish!
And I DID get a lot accomplished today. I did some school, some review sheets, and finally got modivated to do the announcements for Wendesday! :D
And, I did CBS and read my 10 chapters in the Bible today!
Pretty cool, huh? :D
-K
1st Samuel 10:6 "Before you know it, the Spirit of God will come on you and you'll be profesying right along with them. And you'll be transformed. You'll be a new person!"
This verse stuck out to me because it is true! Someone can be totally against God, but when you let Him come in, your attitude changes and you are completely transformed!

Yo Homies!

Well....Today, January 7th 2009 it was 75 degrees! Is that crazy or what!!!
It felt amazing!
I found some Aquafresh WhiteTrays at the Amish Bent and Dent store, when we went back for Christmas..And my teeth actually got whiter, already! :D
God has really been working in my life, on my attitude and my whole outlook on life.
It just goes to show you...If you ask God to help you..Anything is possible!

Hola all you Bloggers!

Hey there...It's me..
I hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year.
We all seem to have New Years resolutions. Mine, this year is 1) To actually to P.E. so I don't have to take another year of it ;) and 2) Read the whole Bible, or most of it through the year. Really, just committing to read a couple verses every day.
It is amazing how much just a couple chapters inspire you. And praying specifically to God...Like about a bad attitude....I have had a joyful attitude already..and I have more energy or hope...something of that sort. I randomly decided to clean out my room...Just putting on some music and having a positive attitude makes cleaning so much easier. I put my mind to catching up on Algebra today..I caught up and got all but one question right on a test! Come on, people! God does to miracles in your every day life. He is always there, and you can always count on Him!
