Little known fact about me: I currently am not studying any certain part of the Bible....When this happens, I like to go to BibleGateway.com and study their Verse of the Day. Today's verse is:
"For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake,”
Phillipians 1:29 (ESV)
We humans don't like to suffer. You see, we like comfort, we like things to be easy and painless. We forget that being a Christian comes with a price. It is not a question, we WILL be persecuted eventually.("If they persecuted me, they will persecuted you" -John 15:20)
We should rejoice in suffering because it develops perseverance and it's a small price to pay compared to what Jesus did for us.
Believe in Him AND be willing to suffer!
